Direct mail companies, writers, websites and experts all offer many rules and “helpful hints” for creating direct mail copy.

You’d better know what you’re selling…inside and out.
Don’t even pick up your mouse until you know every possible benefit and selling point like the back of your hand. Enough said.
Choose your words prudently…and creatively.
As you know, words are mighty and, when chosen well, have the power to persuade. Your choice of words needs to create feelings that will motivate buyers.
Encourage them to act NOW.
The old, reliable “call to action” is MUST. It’s not enough to sell them – tell them clearly what to do now, show them ‘why’ and explain ‘how.’
