Small Business Websites Can Be Big Money-Makers

Attorneys and Business Owners Invited to Learn Most Effective Route to New Customers, Increased Business, Better Bottom Line

SOUTH FLORIDA — Small businesses and law practices looking to market themselves online are more likely than not missing out on huge opportunities to garner new clients.

“Lawyers and business owners who market on the Internet aren’t just doing the ‘in’ thing,” explained Rich Sierra, principal of Richard Sierra & Associates, PA, “they’re grabbing the very real opportunity to attract new clients and increase their billings substantially.” Sierra adds for his legal colleagues, “Today’s client – the one who finds you on the web and establishes a relationship – could be tomorrow’s Microsoft.”

Helping fellow lawyers explore the potential of the Internet comes naturally for Sierra, who founded and managed his own Internet marketing firm, Healthcare Recruitment On Line, Inc.

Now Sierra and Copywriting/Marketing Expert Allison Nazarian, founder and president of Allison Media Group, Inc., have teamed up to share their know-how with both the legal community and business owners through two seminars, Internet Marketing for Lawyers and Internet Marketing for Small Businesses, both designed to educate both groups on how to promote their businesses and practices on the web.

“People don’t read information on a website in the same way as they read printed material,” advises Nazarian. “When we write for the web, we know how to guide visitors in a way that prompts a more qualified and immediate response. Web writers move readers along, not unlike a legal brief or argument.” She added that anyone promoting their business on the web or even considering doing so will want to learn, among other things, what words are “musts” for web copy.

Nazarian points out that there is difference between the website of a smaller business and that of a huge corporation.

“Written professionally and on-target, a website can inform and serve existing clients while attracting new clients,” she explains. Nazarian’s portion of the seminar will convey how to develop and write copy that brings in more client calls and e-mails.
